Very interesting article. I've always hated to have television on during the day. We did the rainy-day movie and popcorn with the kids once in a while, but anything beyond that seems too much! We don't even have cable nor sattellite. Instead we hand-pick DVDs that we think are appropriate for the kids when it's movie night {or afternoon for the little ones}.

My hubby grew up with TV in the background while I grew up without TV {I was allowed 1 hour a week to learn english}. This led to a first few interesting years in our marriage and starting to raise our family. :)
