Christmas has come and gone. I must say that I am actually relieved. Don't get me wrong, I love the holiday season -- but there is something a bit comforting knowing that things will be getting back to 'normal' (whatever that is). It was a wonderful Christmas here in the Mentor Mom household. In reflecting on Christmas, I started tallying things up:
- 1 - the number of hours of sleep I got Christmas Eve night
- 1 broken coffee maker on Christmas morning (that REALLY sucked)
- 4 bags of trash after opening gifts
- 1 hour picking up the trash opening gifts
- 1 hour trying to unpack all the Barbie furniture from their packages (Honestly, can't they put all those little pieces in a ziplock baggie?! Must each individual piece be attached via a twist tie!)
- 4 hours before the kids were bored with their new toys and had nothing to do
- 4 pounds -- what I gained after grazing on completely unhealthy food for two days
- 6 hours before the remote control tarantula got stepped on and broken
- 30 - the number of times my daughter asked me if she could make a cup with her pottery wheel
- 4 - the number of days it took me to take the Christmas tree down (lest you think I am a scrooge, I normally take it down the day after Christmas so I am making some gains...)
- 1 ipod Touch - the cool gadget I got from my fantastic hubby :)
I hope all of you had a fantastic Christmas as well! Now, to get ready for the new year...
