Children say the darndest things. It blows me away sometimes the questions, comments and observations that come out of their mouths. Some good, some not so good, but always entertaining.
As a parent, I have started a journal to write down the more memorable things that have come out of my precious angel's mouths. You know, so I can remind them later on in life in front of their girlfriend or boyfriend. Actually, I've found it to be a great way to capture the essence of their childhood. It is always fun to go through it with them and recall the things they have said.
Now I know that my kids have said some adorable (and sometimes embarrassing things), but I thought I would start a feature here on the blog where you can share your stories. I love reading about the things that kids say, especially out in public!
Here are a couple examples of what I am talking about:
- While driving to a playdate at a friend's house with my daughter, it began raining. When she realized it had started sprinkling, she asked "Does this mean God is sweating?"
- A kindergartner is waiting to be picked up for her carpool for school. Her mom says "I cry everytime I watch you get in the car and go to school" to which the little girl replies "Then stop looking."
