If you are looking for insightful parenting advice or tips in this post, I am afraid you will need to scroll down or look through my archives. You see, dear reader, I find myself in a somewhat unfamiliar position. As a social worker, I am used to giving help to those in need. As a result, I am unaccustomed to asking for help from others.
Despite this, current circumstances prompt me to reach out to you for help. We all know that in the current economy and state of our world, there are lots of hard working, wonderful people out there struggling -- I happen to be living with one of them. I am asking anyone out there reading this to send some positive mojo to The Mentor Mom household. Our entire family is in need and any kind thoughts, prayers and well wishes you might have to spare.
I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support over the last two years. Your comments, questions and private e-mails of support have prompted me to continue in my quest to be a better person. Words cannot adequately describe what this has meant to me. You guys are the best and I want you to know that you are appreciated -- even you "lurkers!"
